She started off by saying that Gaga is super talented and she was like. "We can all agree on that right? Have you seen her unplugged?" On the powerpoint, she posted her NYU video where she sang Captivated and Electric Kiss. We didn't have time to play it in class but she urged all of us to check it out. She talked about how she was marketed to be "a character" and how effective it was in cutting through the clutter. There was no shade at all. She told Gaga's story about how she used to play in clubs and took off her clothes one day because nobody was paying attention to her. Then she was like, "there are interviews where she says this. Im not making it up". She also said that 7 years ago she predicted that Gaga would go back to her roots and how doing that would be a great marketing tactic. Then she talked about her work with Tony Bennett. She also said she had a meeting with Jimmy Iovine in 2004 and he kept his sunglasses on for the whole 2 hours She said he is a really interesting guy.
