Details about the Cooper-Gaga Star remake, which Cooper is also directing, have been scant since it was announced late last year. The country tidbit is a new reimagining of the classic tale about a struggling singer’s rise to stardom. In the past two film versions, first starring Judy Garland, and later Barbra Streisand, the soundtrack largely stuck to pop music. Perhaps Gaga’s latest turn for Joanne inspired her to bring something new to the famous story?

Post-Joanne, though, the singer seems to be turning back to traditional pop. During her first Coachella set, Gaga announced and performed a new song titled “The Cure,” a minimal synth pop record that builds into a sweeping, dance-worthy chorus. The new single doesn’t appear to be tied to the upcoming Star Is Born remake, which is scheduled for a September 2018 release and is already available to buy on iTunes.

We all owe Jay Z a big 'Thank You' for impregnating Bey again so she could take the break that would allow gaga to fill her slot of Musical queen legend and icon :tony:
