I won't rush to judgement on the authorities until more information is released. The latest story I saw was the the gunman's phone was pinged in Pennsylvania, so it sounds like he has not been in the Cleveland area for hours at least.

I suspect this as well.In my country a lot of criminals are in kahoots with policemen so they can get away with literally anything and they will be arrested years later.

Now that Trump is the president anything is possible in the US

This is absolutely ridiculous. I go to school at Cleveland State and the police force works SO hard to keep us safe. I had over 10 updates yesterday from them to keep us updated on their search. They offered extra protection with their time and numbers and extended the access to their escort service. He is not in "kahoots" with the Cleveland police, they are good people and are close with the community. Trump becoming president doesn't turn the police force into a corrupt system. Pathetic comment

Seriously? I never would've thought the trick to getting away with murder would be to livestream it. Ridiculous.

There is a lot of misinformation and lack of understanding of the issue. I assume many details remain under wrap. What I know today is that the murder was not livestreamed--it was recorded and later uploaded to Facebook. This, of course, would have given the suspect time to leave the scene. His cell phone was recently pinged in Western Pennsylvania, so it is safe to assume he fled Cleveland after updated the video, hence why tracking him has been so difficult. People have made it seem like he was driving around the city, livestreaming and recording all his steps...that is clearly not the case.

Do we all remember the Boston Marathon bombings? It took Boston tactical units almost twelve hours to locate the suspects. While they've released vehicle information, he could have ditched the vehicle and be driving another one. His cell phone ping could also be a false-alarm, perhaps he threw his phone in another vehicle or dumped it?

There are so many things we do not know and I don't think we should be making judgement before more information is released. The FBI is involved for a reason. I've seen some conspiracies in this thread--it's too early for that. This is akin to finding a needle in a hay stack and its possible the suspect may have been planning this for some time, which gives him a natural advantage.

This is not "absolutely ridiculous" :toofunny: This is a well known fact that there are corrupted police officers

I mean, would a Trump supporter actually admit this?

OT: Is Facebook lying? How is it possible live stream wasn't really live if people were commenting and posting emojis on it?

The murder itself was not livestreamed. His prior rants may have been livestreamed, which is where you see the emojis, etc.

This is true, cops are totally corrupt (some of them, that is). That being said, to jump to this level of conspiracy over this guy not being in custody yet, is entirely ridiculous and premature. Not to mention, these conspiracies have evolved out of not knowing all the facts. There has not been a confirmed sighting of the suspect since the video of the murder was posted, despite over 300 tips, and all they have is the vehicle they believe he is driving (which could have been ditched) and a cell phone ping in Western PA.

The 'jump to conclusion' was a reference to this thread in general, not you specifically.

I can't watch that video. That poor old man. Can you imagine if that person was your family member, and their death was on the internet for everyone to see?

I hope the killer dies a slow, agonizing death. I really do.
