Fixed.

I still love Joanne, if not even more now and I'll keep on loving/defending it despite all the people saying "The Cure < the entirety of Joanne" which is beyond imbecile.

Joanne is an amazing album.
Gaga took her broken heart and pain and made it into art once again.
Joanne might not be her most authentic work in terms of "gaga" but it's her most authentic work in terms of being human with emotions. It's raw and unpolished, yet perfect in its own magical way.

Yet you don't feel that way about The Cure? Did you listen to the lyrics and see her dancing and smiling to it? RAW AND UNPOLISHED.

And how incredibly rude and lazy of you to call something a 'cancer' just because you don't like it. How about making a real argument.

No, in fact, I like Joanne better than ARTPOP and I don't even hate ARTPOP, it's just not a cohesive album to me. The Cure seems like steps taken backwards to me, I can always appreciate the work that Gaga does, but everything is not always in the favorite category to me. I am happy that she has a new single and that a lot of people are enjoying the song though. I always want the best for Gaga's career.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

Nothing about 'The Cure' is raw and unpolished. It's a calculated move to please the mass/gp.

I never cared for Joanne.... I loved her pervious work far more than Joanne ? Is that bad ?

I'm the same, although i'm more of a "casual" gaga fan. I do like her acoustic songs like "Speechless" (probably my favorite ballad of hers) but just never got into Joanne. My best friend loves it and he drags me for it. :toofunny: I liked MR, PI, and strangely Sinner's Prayer. But i never feel compelled to play the rest.

There can be 99 bottoms in the area but all it takes is 1 top to believe in you.

For me, 'Joanne' is the best album of Gaga's career (with a slight competition against 'Born This Way').

I don't hate 'The Cure' (cause it's Gaga), but I don't love it as well. IMO, it's not correct to compare 'The Cure' to TF/TFM because those two albums had a major cultural impact on pop music because of their originality at the time. Although, we might look at them as mainstream because of their success, they all had a certain 'Gaga' sound and vibe.

''The Cure', on the other hand, for me, seems like a move to appeal to pop radio and charts BUT without any 'Gaga' edge or sound, although, it is better than other similar songs. A kind of 'bling not the music' scenario, imo. Hope it's just a standalone track.

I really like Joanne. I don't think most of the GP understood it though. I also really like The Cure. Gaga is so diverse! I'm a little sad that Joanne appears to have been abandoned. Perfect Illusion is such a great song! It deserved better.

Joanne is my least played Gaga album of all 5.

I really only listen to DIC, John Wayne, & Perfect Illusion.

REALITY

My problem isn't the fact that people "hate Joanne all of a sudden". The whole Joanne era certainly had hate surrounding it, whether we like to say it or not. Personally, I loved the album—it's next to Born This Way for my favorite album of hers—but this "hate" has been building for a while.

My problem is the fact that people are calling The Cure a "sellout" and "generic pop trash", like, it's funny how they say that with The Cure, but didn't say it when she put Dancin' in Circles on Joanne :oprah: DIC certainly had those same elements that The Cure has, but The Cure is a much better song.

The Cure makes me appreciate and like Joanne even more. I love both.

I can't be the only one who was cool with the JOANNE era despite the MR mv mess :cryga:

Tbh, I was not even bothered by the MR MV. I liked it - it fit well with the song. (sure it wasn't impressive but I didn't hate it)

I LOOOOVE Joanne, it's such a great great album, A-YO, Perfect Illusion and John Wayne are my go-to jams for the day. However, I admit that I simply loooove The Cure since it sounds so fresh and bubbly (I simply pretend it doesn't remind me of The Chainsmokers a.k.a. The Lung Cancers because I hate them for what they said about Gaga ... and they can't sing!) and it's NEW, so of course I've ditched Joanne and had The Cure on repeat.

I guess people who now complain about Joanne simply prefer a fresh mainstream pop sound over country-influenced rock/pop.

OH and I've also heard people complain about The Cure for being too generic (which is bullshit because it sounds like her pre-Fame stuff and everybody LOVES that).

People will always complain and never be pleased. Therefore I just ignore them cuz I don't give a rat's ass about their complaints, I just listen to the music. :classy:

"I'll fix you with my love" doesn't really scream polished imo

neither does any of the verse lyrics lol

ofc there's a little calculation there in the production but there's such a rawness in the actual song content, the lyrics and the way she performed it that i can't think she's doing it soley for a smash

I'm listening to Joanne rn as a break from listening to The Cure  on repeat and still loving it :music: I think people are just excited about the new song and the fact that it's unapologetically POP
