The reason...

why I think that The Cure sends out a different vibe than nowadays songs...

Well, I honestly think that production hasn't been lazy at ALL. If you just think about it, we have Gaga singing with her topnotch vocals which comes through in a powerful chorus where she doesn't get drowned in dying cat sounds. The difference you guys are missing is that nowadays songs are arranged differently. Which makes you think that The Cure is totally the same sh*t. But it isn't.

For example; you have Closer, they are singing the verses - pre-chorus. And THIS is where it goes wrong, the chorus turns into pure instrumental with 1 word every 4 beats and a drunk cat. Where as you have The Cure; singing her verses - pre-chorus BUT GIVES IMMENSE POWER OF VOCALS THROUGHOUT THE CHORUS, with a 16-beat instrumental after before heading to the second verse.

So the comparison is hardly there. Another thing, I haven't heard the song anymore while I was at work, I come back and listen to it again. And fck, the song gave me actually an idea that this is definitely something that reminds me of Nothing On But The Radio which actually comes to the point that she practically sings her lung out instead of cat-effects doing the work for her.

Do you guys get what I mean? I'm not here trying to defend the song, but to explain how this is far better than what you hear on the radio nowadays. Without it sounding generic. And with personal experience, I love this song.

And hell, she has experienced alot, why not give us a bop before her new album which might be another experimental choice.

Still a song, which screams Gaga to me.

The chorus is very Gaga and it's actually a great chorus, it might have a trendy vibe but the song is like The Famega goes Tropical

Exactly!! The dragging it gets of some fans calling it generic trash is really getting to me :(

Gaga didn't have to release a new song for us, we weren't expecting this so why complain? Why bring down the euphoric atmosphere for everyone else?? I'll be honest and say that the song isn't my exact cup of tea but it is an interesting move for Gaga and I am enjoying it, the funny thing is though is that I had the exact same reaction when I heard PI and Applause for the first time but I love those songs now!

I just think it's so disrespectful and ungrateful to drag the song to the pits of hell right of the bat and cramp everyone's spirits. Everyone has a right to have an opinion and not everyone needs to love the song but some consideration goes a long way.
