But then I remembered that she's a genius when it comes to writing simple yet catchy pop hooks, and it's okay to not always have layers upon layers of depth in a song. Trust me, I love deep, thought-provoking music, my favorite artist is Kate Bush. But artists are allowed to grow and progress and decide that they're going to do different styles.
