Exactly, so not necessary cos regardless they treated paying costumer like an animal and if only they did that uncaught, they can always do worse next time. Bless anyone who filmed it tbh.

Last time this airline delayed my flight from Newark to Hong Kong, and then lost my baggage (they gave it to me after like a week, but still)

and they literally had the worst customer service out of all the airlines I have flown

this just gives me another reason to not fly them anymore

It is true, it's all over the Internet but my post is just to illustrate how people is blaming the whole company over the actions of a few people. Saying karma as if every single employee participated in this **** show. So that's why I say can we say karma hit the doctor too? 

And obviously no, because it has nothing to do just like the rest of the employees who most likely will loose their jobs. That was my issue.

I see where you're coming from. There are clear double standards when it comes to issues like this. We can bash and hate on United all day and call it karma when their stock drops without any consideration for the affect it will have on thousands of innocent United employees, but God forbid you bring up this guys' past and mention 'maybe he had it coming as well'.

I agree that his past isn't relevant in this scenario, but it is interesting to point out double standards.

Also, is a 2.8% stock price drop really considered 'plummeting'? Just yesterday the stock price rose by 1%, would we call that 'surging'? This title is pretty dramatic.

Actions have consequences.

This isn't because of "one guy", it is because of the policies of this airline. First of all, you offer these incentives before people board. Secondly, don't split up costumers flying together. (Unless one of them volunteers to stay behind) Next, an airline should offer the max amount...if they are having trouble getting people to volunteer. Last of all,  an airline should never physically remove a costumer from a plane because they were randomly selected.

The way it was handled afterward is just as important. The airline blamed the victim, didn't apologize and didn't say they would evaluate existing policies. People who are flying are often times already nervous, inconvenienced and treated poorly for paying costumers. Many are tired of flights that are overbooked, late, canceled, with their luggage lost or damaged. When people see something like this, they automatically put themselves in that place.

Yeah, I'm really not trying to be a d-head, I'm just putting things into perspective, exploring every point involved,  I'm not picking sides.
