And what about the song with Coldplay?

It's not just the sales really, it's the presence of them on radio and on iTunes and streaming. It tells people "oh look, new songs from TC, their album must be out soon" or of some sort. Not having that presence, like PI and MR (at first) definitely 'hurts' opening week sales. How would people know there's a new album coming out if they haven't heard a new song from that artist?

OK I understand that... I was very disappointed with PI not getting the airplay it deserved. I don't think this this album will out perform Joanne's sales at all. IMO. I really think this is a disappointment to their record company. I'm pretty sure they were expecting huge numbers.

Yeah i don't they're gonna out perform Joanne's sales too - but believe it or not this is Beyonce type of numbers for EDM albums. DJ Snake's album (which featured that huge Bieber song) opened with 32K SPS not too long ago. Imagine selling 185-190K SPS.
