Grew up in the UAE, which is still fairly conservative. And come from a conservative upbringing. And I know for a fact Muslims/we aren't terrorists nor is our religion fundamentally radical as some ppl put it. I'm just disappointed (and used to be surprised) that any Muslim could go down that path. Any act of terror wouldn't make sense if you were in my place. But every time recently there's some major crime, it can be easily traced to a Muslim and I just don't understand how (obviously media will focus on us, but something is so unusual). If it's ISIS recruitment I just don't get how they can be easily swayed. It literally doesn't make sense for a Muslim (even conservative) to be convinced to go radical. I just don't understand.
