I guess thematically it would fit, but sonically it's waaaaay too different from the gothic electro-pop that made it onto Born This Way.

it's not really country at all though. it's more 70's soul/doo-wop inspired than anything.

It's my favorite on Joanne...I think. It's up there at least lol. I can see the Born This Way influences now yeah. But it's definitely a Joanne song. It would stick out on BTW more than it does on Joanne. 

That's the great thing about Gaga albums so far, every album is *very* distinct.

It really doesn't fit the musical style of Born this Way. Since the songs on Joanne aren't as conceptually bonded to one another as her previous albums, it's fair to say that thematically...a lot of the songs could easily fit on other albums. Thematically, Diamond Heart could be on The Fame....Joanne could be on The Fame Monster...Come to Mama on Born this Way...and perhaps John Wayne on ARTPOP. However, at the end of the day they all belong on Joanne and work well together on the album.

CTM fits better one Joanne imo but I don't think it'd be too out of place on an album with songs like TEOG, The Queen, or Born This Way

Lol she'll always be "mama" to me. Giving birth doesn't make someone a mama. Being a mama is about being there when you're needed the most among other things. Yeah my bio mom gave birth to me and while I do love her and will always be there for her, she isn't "mom" to me because she wasn't ever there when I needed her.

Lol same here. I still say that song was written about us and how it's gaga's way of saying that she'll always be mama monster. Yeah she "raised" us to be fearless and independent but sometimes maternal instinct kicks in and she just wants to shelter us from the big bad world. In her eyes, no matter how old we get, she'll always see us as the "ones who need her" lol. Sometimes deep down I think she wishes that she could go back to the glitter and discostick days just for a moment and really cherish that time she had with us. It's like she blinked and we were all "grown up".
