I love Britney's music and admire her performance skills but I really can't blame the public for not supporting her even if it gives rise to the possibility of her not being an entertainer at some point in the future.

She hasn't put the effort in singing live, her fans can only listen to her voice through her CD, they can't even hear her sing live even if they attended her concerts. I mean yeah she makes great music but if you being a singer, does not sing live, how am I supposed to back you up when your career is failing?

I agree that her shows are always pumped with great visuals but then she would've been much more respected and had a higher chance of being offered the position to do the halftime show if she sang live.

Her name is still big enough to get the show. She has many nostalgic hits. She'd probably end up doing what Gaga did, 5 old hits and a new single.

Britney not getting the half time is not because of her lack of hits. It's just that she's past her performing prime. Her shows are good, but not half time level good. If she cannot handle the vma properly how about the half time?

Pepsi pays for the show, so it'd be better then the VMAs, since we don't have to worry about her cheapass team paying for it. 

Britney herself was pretty good at the VMAs, throw in more dancers and better visuals and would've been the ****. That's exactly what would happen at the half time.

She said in a radio interview in 2016 that she'd be willing to do it. 

She could do a 12-13 minute performance and slay. All she would need it a big spectacle around her. Pepsi would take care of that. If she herself pulls 2016 BMA level performance with a Super Bowl spectacle around her, she'd do great.
