It's okay to dislike Lady Gaga's music but you don't need to make such a specific example about her, when you've had her as a guest on your show. I took Lorde's reaction as she didn't really want anything to do with that comment. She's there to promote her own music not talk about Lady Gaga. He didn't say anything negative about Gaga and he doesn't dislike her music. He premiered Perfect Illusion with Gaga on his show in September and licked her ass the whole time. "Implied" - this is one of GGD's fav word. Of course he "implied" it if you're looking for that reaction. There was no indication of his taste in that music. And even if he didn't like it - is that shade? Is it a crime to have an opinion? He was describing how awkward it is to have someone staring in your face whilst they play you their music because you don't really know how to react. I have a bunch of musician friends and experience this all of the time. Nothing he said was a comment on the music itself - except when he said he told her "like that bit" - which is ...... positive.
