The IRS is basically financing my life style. So even if they committed a holocaust level crime against humanity, I'd support them as long as the checks keep coming to my mom, who is btw very talented at doing offer and compromises. In all seriousness tho, listening to my mom has shown me that the IRS really is a good agency. I went to the DMV a few weeks ago about an issue with my license and they were so understaffed it was a 2 hour and 45 minute wait and this is normal for them. It sucks working for an agency that's so understaffed that you have to work over the 8 hours you are payed because you can't possibly finish all the work they give you in 8 hours. The workers at the IRS are over worked and many are now at unhealthy levels of stress because of the work load. I'm sure the DMV is similiar based on your description. And then there's the constant threats by politicians against them. 1. Presidential candidates saying they want ur agency abolished is terrifying for those agency workers and their families. 2. If the budget can't be agreed on, guess who gets ****ed over? Not congress but the workers on Furlough. Thats a scary thing about this upcoming budget, if the congress can't agree, the government could be shutdown and we'll have no income for an indefinite amount of time (well my dad still gets money but it's still a struggle). It's both sad and funny to see you posting an 'article' from a renowned FAKE NEWS website - with no apparent sense of awareness or irony - complaining about the IRS and then at the same time complaining about the very things it pays for.
