And once you have a Vevo account, I don't think you can just 'quit,' per se. You'll just have to deal with your videos not being as successful. Every artist gets Vevo now, even the really small ones who don't get amazing promo. Vevo in itself is promo. Gaga has a lot of great views, ok, maybe not quite as many likes as a lot of other artists but that's because most of them are new and have lots of young fans who avidly follow them. If Gaga's career had started now, she'd have much higher views and likes, no doubt. But her fans tend to be older and not as avid when it comes to re-watching stuff and religiously leaving likes. But she does have 8.4 million subscribers, that counts for a lot. I run a thread where all GGD's favourite artists music videos are ranked according to success and Gaga's doing pretty well in terms of 'most viewed video' and especially in 'most certified videos.' PI is only 10 million away from becoming her 13th 100million viewed video. Plus, she's getting closer and closer to almost having all her top 5 most viewed videos having 300million views or more. She's a respected talented musician but not the mainstream pop girl after fame.
