This is why I don't even bother to check the "Browse" section or whatever top hits/trends they keep posting. I'd rather stick to my playlists and the established acts I know. I really can't stand most of urban, especially those that mix both urban and rap.

Just like most things, it goes in cycles. Right now rap and hip hop are on revival.

I gotta say it's pretty funny/scary seeing people complain that artists gaining success are not the "established" ones that we're used to. I personally think it's good that young and upcoming stars have a platform to shine on, even if they may not be my personal taste. Maybe I'm alone in wanting to see new artists have the chance to do well.

And surely this is not the top ten most streamed overall. Probably just top ten most streamed in this moment.

Oh, and Kendrick Lamar is certainly not trash.

Drake songs take up 18 slots in the Top 30 songs on Apple Music.

So yes, streaming is awful. Sadly, it's the way of the future.

I dont think its awful. People can access what they want instantly and conviniently

 

Its also more accurate for the charts than sales tbh since after someone buys a song theres no way to track for how long and how often someone listens to that song. That persons sale counts the week he bought it and that week alone. Streaming doesnt have that issue

 

Maybe its cause i live technology and am always exited about advancement. Ive never been one to criticize change. I always embrace it!!!
