Hmm true, her fan base isn't as dedicated as others', but I don't think she aims for building up a huge fan base. She's just here to entertain and I suppose that's why she is so popular among the "GP" (people who don't follow pop music as dedicated as stans).

I'm sure if you would go out and ask strangers on the street who the biggest artist is, you'd be hearing "Rihanna" a lot.

Tbh though, i think gaga's a better singer. She sings with passion too.

 

She just needs to not stop to say "put your ****ing hands up!" as much and not growl-scream through high notes so much. She didnt have to growl scream to hit high notes in the beginning of her career or even when she sang I wanna be with you @swinefest, so its not like she all of a sudden cant. Marry the Night she did it too, shes definitely capable, and has a gorgeous falsetto on top of this (praise s-xxx dreams chorus  & that high A5 in Applause  ) I want to hear her higher register more, but i mean shes a good singer. I think i prefer her singing to rihanna's... her voice sounds very consistent and doesnt change much, Gaga has more character in her voice to me.

When Gaga sings acoustic I don't really know who to choose.. Rihanna is great acoustically too

But Rihanna is better at singing and dancing at the same time, Gaga is out of key a lot or just plays loud pre-recorded vocals...
