Introvert 0
what made you think that? i think rihanna's most accessible commercial album was her best. ah yes. shes a commercial pop star. if shes not making only girl in the world what else is she good for
Introvert 0
I agree with everything you say. You did forget to include Talk That Talk though I agree about the comfortableness, but musically/lyrically that doesn't make it her best automatically for me. But the attitude that she's bringing to the table as an artist is definitely refreshing to say the least. For me, Rated R will remain one of the most surprising pop albums I've heard because it's surprising and just masterfully executed on évery level. Lyrically and musically Unapologetic doesn't cut it for me. I just know she can do better idk lyrically to me its her best next to rated r. musically its sort of faux-urban but i like that. the whole mood of the album is solemn/confused/cold other than the tacked on Right Now and the catchy but disturbing Nobody's Business. i like her other stuff too, im not knocking it. but i just feel like unapologetic is more often than not overlooked because people have caught on to focusing on the fact that that she seems to be churning out albums once a year like a machine lol
Forrest Gump 1
ah yes. shes a commercial pop star. if shes not making only girl in the world what else is she good for well when rihanna tries to be vulnerable it just doesn't work for me
Introvert 0
well when rihanna tries to be vulnerable it just doesn't work for me fair enough
Forrest Gump 1
fair enough to me loud was her last album that actually felt like a body of work. it was a solid pop album with little filler and enjoyable pop songs. that's what she does best. talk that talk and unapologetic feel rushed and uninspired. both focused on the singles and loaded with filler. the edm pop songs sounds more generic, the s-x anthems sound more crass, and the ballads on unapologetic sounds more like a twisted tragic love story. i can't listen to them without thinking chris brown and rihanna's messed up face. in my own little world, i wanna hear her doing empowering anthems like alicia keys "new day" and just leave all the drama behind. S&M felt like a rehash of S.O.S. california king bed, love the way you lie pt.2, and fading faded into the walls. man down annoys me but i mean thats just personal preference lol

SoldierDown 49
Any thoughts on the next single? I know we're still on Stay and focusing on that, but I'm just curious what it would be. She most likely wouldn't release 3 ballads in a row. My bets are on Right Now if they choose a non-ballad. Or they could go with Loveeeeee Song considering it's done so well without promo and critics love it. I'd actually really like Loveeeeee ---- I think she needs to release Jump! It would do so damn good, the clubs would love it. I play it all the time before we go out and everyone loves it and knows it already. Would be really refreshing after Diamonds and Stay, but not as generic and obvious as Right Now. Plus Right Now isn't even being performed on the tour and Jump is a highlight of it right? But we might be getting Pour It Up as the next proper single after all might we? Isn't it supposed to be getting a video and everything as it's being so well received as an urban single? ALX 170
Just a random question, why does Rihanna only sing in English o.O ? because she speaks English ---- I think she needs to release Jump! I'd rather hear Right Now over that tbh
