Didn't she say something about being positive to Lupus a few years ago? As far as we know, her chronic pain is a result of somatization, which she talked about in her PTSD letter, and not from an autoimmune disorder. Scroll up, I made a post about her being tested for Lupus and what it means.

Seriously. I don't view this cover as a downgrade or anything like that. I looked at the covers of past issues and similar magazines. They show women of all ages to represent the fact that chronic pain is not just experienced by older people. I view this as an extension of Gaga's activism for the issues she cares about and I think what she is doing is wonderful.

Perhaps when the day comes when arthritis pain becomes their reality and people treat them the same... Do your own research.

And since it is some kind of autoimmune disease, would it have anything to do with her having tested positive for borderline lupus even though she wasn't diagnosed with its symptoms? It could potentially be much worse, though. RA is chronic and attacks organs as well as joints. I wondered the same. I hope that quote isn't from Gaga. I know that living with the pain of osteoarthritis can be chronic and very painful, but RA can potentially be very serious. Edit: Just saw Katie14's comment on the previous page. I'm happy to hear that that particular quote isn't from Gaga.
