Pure Pop wouldn't fit to the lyrics I guess, that's the reason why she chose to produce an album with country/folk/rock influences to make it more authentic. Maybe the next album is more about what her fans want?! With Gaga we never know what will come next! Honestly I am not here for the Gaga dragging going on in this thread but I need to say that Gaga will probably never go back to her old sound and lyrics etc..she said in her apple music interview with Zane that she just can't see herself making "meaningless songs" anymore and that she used to make "meaningless fun music" but that now she can't see herself doing that as she ages. Expect more Joanne type albums from her from now on. (Which is not a bad thing at all).

When you're featured on major playlists, and home pages in each country, for a longer period (1-2) months, you already have a streaming hit, when you have high streaming numbers, radio will pick it up, in terms of sales Gaga is still a huge force. streaming hits aren't as simple as getting featured in playlists. I mean even Katy, who is a bigger streaming artist and had a huge deal, doesn't have a substantial enough streaming hit to do what you are saying. was NickARTPOP

Chained To The Rhythm has 150 million million streams on Spotify, and getting 2 million streams every day, how is this not a streaming hit? The only prisons that exist are ones we put each other in.. Even Katy' numbers aren't good enough to create a streaming hit without radio. was NickARTPOP

With big playlists MR would of already been at around 140M on spotify. sure it would not make her some massive streaming force but it would for sure take her albums from 400M spotify total streams to almost double that if all her singles were properly promoted on spotify. Sometimes the solution is as easy as that and in the case of streaming being included on good playlists is the simple solution. Just look at her position on Apple Music...she is pretty high up there simply because she is being added to big playlists and properly promoted on Apple Music since they are not sabotaging her and they are treating her fairly since they have a deal with Interscope it seems. Spotify is actively avoiding Gaga because Interscope is not doing enough to get her on those playlists.

She has a bunch of dance-songs with deeper lyrics. But you are also right about the superficial lyrics in songs. I also doubt that she will do songs like Donatella or Fashion ever again.
