He knows what's morally right and wrong, although he does dislike the LGBT community and Women's Right for Abortion, he knows it's illegal to ban people from the country due to religion. He is no longer supporting conversion camps, and I doubt he would seriously try and overturn Roe vs. Wade--not even the Bushes did that. He is much more diplomatic, and would be a better ally to Germany, Europe, and the Middle-East.
