I was on a school field trip to San Francisco (live an hour away) and a kid I was sitting next to had his iPod and was dancing and told me he loves lady gaga and if I ever heard of her, I said no and he freaked out and said I had to listen to this one song and he gave me his iPod and it was "poker face" and at that exact few seconds of the song starts we were crossing the golden gate bridge, I will always remember that

It wasn't til a few months later that my mom's friend Jen was talking about The Fame and how good it was that I asked my mom to take me to go get the album. Queen Jen introduced me to Gaga, what a cool bitch, I need to thank her.

 

Same, I heard just dance on the radio on the way to middle school and I remember picturing her black because of the sound of her voice.

Around April 2008 in 3rd grade when my mom would take me and my cousins to school, she'd turn on the radio and Just Dance was ALWAYS on and I totally thought it was the worst song ever because it made no sense to me.

I'm not sure if this really counts, but whenever I think of Gaga's mainstream career debut I never fail to think of this Nigahiga video (Nigahiga vids were my whole life back in third grade through middle school, I will forever miss the Golden Era of YouTube) , I remember looking up Just Dance after watching it. Since then Just Dance and Poker Face got so much airplay, ugghh times were so much more entertaining and simpler then.
