I think after having Rocco and moving to London, this was the first time Madonna saw herself out of Hollywood and this song represents that perfectly. Sure, it may seem weird for the queen of the Hollywood game to be singing about this, even hypocritical at times. But there’s a comical theme to this song that excuses all that and makes the song great. - @Bio

Baring the original album title, Hollywood is the perfect follow up to American Life.  Straight from the lips of the woman who could own you comes a not so welcomed invitation and warning to those trying to follow into her footsteps.   How could it hurt you when it looks so good? - @MonsterJames333

To me this song is pretty much tied with American Life, in almost every aspect. But it just captures the sound of the early 2000s so well and the little guitar looped melody is iconquéééé. I also just happen to like the sound of it a little more than American Life's. - @johny wayne

Such a feel good, beautiful song. About trying to rationalize the feeling of love but realizing it’s just not possible, so it’s better to just feel it and enjoy it. It’s also a nice break from the first three songs that can sound a little bit too preachy when listened together. Too bad Madonna completely ignores its existence till this day. - @Bio
