littlepotter 74,329 Posted March 11, 2017 Share Posted March 11, 2017 What the **** is this? First book was fine. The plot was actually okay. The writing was repetitive but I could stand it. I wanted to know what happened next. Second book was also fine. Same tired writing style but I also was intrigued by the plot and wanted to see where it ended. The third book is driving me nuts. I can't not finish it because I wanna know what happens and get closure, and I don't wanna check wikipedia for the plot because it's not like me. But it's so stupid! I've never disliked a main character more, I feel no connection towards any character besides the poor Theresa who Thomas for some reason is still angry at for doing things she was forced to do, even though other characters did the same things to him and he's all friendly with thim just fine. The writing is just terrible, everything feels pointless, and I've never disagreed more with every decision these people take. So yeah I just had to rant and get it off my chest because no one I know has read the books, and I really didn't try to find a more appropriate place. Part of me is shocked it got so big, but then again dystopia novels are really in, especially after The Hunger Games.
