Question: what was the deal with The Chainsmokers and Gaga?

Gonna admit I don't know much about the drama that surrounded the Chainsmokers and Gaga last year.

I did some searching on GGD but there isnt' much that came up. Did they tweet something shady to her?
I just searched Twitter too and didn't find it.

So, when the 30-year-old recently released her new song A-YO, she took to Twitter to call out the hitmakers for their shade!
Now, Drew Taggart and Alex Pall have sat down with NME, and they have nothing but positive things to say about the singer this time around!
Alex raved about her clap back, saying:
"She killed that tweet, it was such an response from her. I love banter, and that was such a clever, witty response. 10/10."
The 31-year-old also admitted that he didn't except his offhand comment to make headlines, adding:
"It was just my opinion, which I thought nobody would give a sh*t about. She can have that victory, I hope her album does incredibly well."
Drew also joked that A-YO was the pop star's own form of retaliation, quipping:
"It's like 'Did you write this ahead of time?' Because it's like the universe aligning just for you to get us."
And, Alex has accepted defeat in their brief banter with GaGa, and is throwing out a peace offering:
"She's super-talented. I'm not a huge listener of her stuff, but what she's done is incredible. I'd be 'I'm really sorry, you won that round, can we go for a drink?'"
But, don't expect him to censor himself in the future:
"It's important to have your opinions and be honest. It's a reason why I love Kanye [West] so much. I don't agree with everything he says, but to be able to stand by your art and things you believe in, no matter what people think, that's an admirable quality a lot of artists don't have."

Their Twitter got "hacked" as well and they tweeted Gaga nasty things. I think one was saying that's joanne was getting raped in hell  I think they called Gaga an ugly hermaphrodite as well? I can't remember

I saw it... a Madonna fan took advantage of thier plight and made it out that they hated her and spewed all that crap about her....  technology these days

As far as I know, Jeff Koons didn't make the GP think she was a great artist during ARTPOP

They're SO condescending and irritating. Seriously, **** them. Flames-flames on the side of my face.gif

Like...The Fame helped usher electronic based dance music into mainstream US radio and out of the CASCADA and europop island it was wrongly banished to, and yet they have the audacity to have this kind of attitude towards her. It's actually disgusting. Even Zane Lowe's basic ass knows this.
