The U.S. economy added a robust 235,000 jobs in February, the first full month of the Trump administration, while the unemployment rate fell to 4.7 percent.

The report released Friday exceeded expectations and continued the 77-month-long expansion of the labor market that started under former President Obama. Job gains have averaged 209,000 over the past three months.

Let's take a walk down memory lane and remember a few quotes from Trump:

Aug. 11, 2015
“Then you hear there's a 5.4 percent unemployment. It's really — if you add it up, it's probably 40 percent if you think about it.”

Aug. 30, 2015
“They show those phony statistics where we are 5.4 percent unemployment. The real number, I saw a number that could be 42 percent, believe it or not.”

Sept. 28, 2015
“I hear 5.3 percent unemployment, that is the biggest joke there is in this country. That number is so false.”

Sept. 29, 2015
“The number is not reflective. I have seen numbers of 24 percent. I saw a number of 42 percent unemployment. … That number is so false.”

Oct. 9, 2015
“They say 5.3 percent employment. The number is probably 32 percent.”

Oct. 11, 2015
“Nobody has jobs. … It is not a real economy. It is a phony set of numbers. They cooked the books.”

Jan. 17, 2016
“Look again, you hear these phony jobs numbers? People that gave up looking for jobs? They are considered employed.”

Feb. 9, 2016
“Don't believe those phony numbers when you hear 4.9 and 5 percent unemployment. As high as 35 — as in fact, I heard recently, 42 percent.”

March 12, 2016
“The numbers are phony. These are all phony numbers. Numbers given to politicians to look good. These are phony numbers.”

May 24, 2016
“You hear a 5 percent unemployment rate. It's such a phony number. That number was put in for presidents and for politicians so that they look good to the people.”

July 7, 2016
“The phony 5 percent numbers that we hear about with the unemployment.”

Aug. 8, 2016
“The 5 percent figure is one of the biggest hoaxes in modern politics.”

Nov. 4, 2016
“The terrible jobs report that just came out … you can see phony numbers, 5 percent.”

Dec. 8, 2016
“The unemployment number, as you know, is totally fiction.”

You know about long-run effects in economics? If trump created any jobs then maybe in business-as-usual unsustainable energy and construction due to his idiotic approach to the environmental problems

I love receipts.

This "man" we have as president is a professional con-man.

And people dare to praise him lmfao.

It's really incredible that Trump managed to reduce the unemployment rate from 42 percent unemployment to 4.7 percent unemployment in month! All without any sort of stimulus packages or policies!

Weird how his approval rating doesn't seem to reflect that  You would think it would be through the roof - but it's almost as if everything is just kinda the same...

Well actually it is 100% under the Trump Administration. Who is running the country and has been for almost 2 months, Trump. So job creation right now can be credited to Trump since it is under his leadership.

Trump hasn't done anything that would warrant any such claim that he himself created any jobs. He hasn't done anything besides make blatant executive orders without addressing the issues surrounding them. The jobs that are added are due to the last admin and natural order of the economy. That is also not 100% Obama's good deed either. The only thing Trump has done in terms of jobs is send them overseas to make his ties. In about a 3 months we can start crediting Trump the success of the economy AS LONG AS he begins to make legislation that directly impacts the US.

Actually you don't know that. They post his schedule everyday and it is one meeting to another meeting discussing policy and jobs. Go on his page and see his daily schedule. That is not what presidents do, don't discredit him for that, he is very hardworking and has been his entire life

Neither do you. Is his Facebook page your proof as to how hard working he is ? This is really funny if that's the case. He spouts entire lies out of his mouth during meetings, do you really believe he's not lying about his schedule as well...

The amount of ignorance and uneducated perspectives I this thread are scary. Who would have thought that propaganda would work so well in the times of internet, where anyone could access any information.

Trump has literally had nothing to do with this yet literally what are you talking about? You're completely clueless and uninformed clearly.

This is a continuation and result of Obama and his policies, Trump has had no economic policies that would have taken effect on the economy by now. Reaching. Just cause Trump is a "business man" and took office in January doesn't mean **** yet. There hasn't been enough time. Get more informed.

Thank you Obama for these great numbers :applause:
