This isn't a bashing thread at all and since I do think I'm a fan of Gaga but not a stan (I buy her music, I go to all of her tours but I don't check all her performances, interviews, etc.) I've been wondering why she isn't promoting this album as heavily as she used to promote her past projects and if you think she has lost some connection with fans. I think she used to meet fans all the time when promoting her previous fans, she took pics with them, she talked with them and now, she used to post on instagram and twitter all the time and now I don't see that happening. I don't think it's bad, anyway, I'm just wondering if it's just a wrong impression or someone else thinks the same. Did she have a meltdown during ARTPOP? like she wanted to quit music and maybe she thought she needed to take things a little bit down, just relax and not work as hardcore as she used to? And she's promoted a lot this record, she can't just make the same mistakes she made during the BTW era and overwork herself. Monsters never die. She still takes pictures with her fans. She signed copies of her album Joanne multiple times and even at her father's restaurant in New York. She still posts a lot on Instagram and during the elections people even though that she posted too much. Maybe she's just busy right now. Oh honey you just need to go on most of the threads on this site to see how negative they are about her. They say awful things and it's not one or two persons, it's like half of the forum. It's not just here, I've seen it on twitter, FB, etc. I know there are many people on this fanbase that are amazing but the vocal majority is awful and that's what I see constantly on these sites. I don't honestly know why you are that bothered by my comments. Do you feel like you're part of the awful part of the fanbase that I'm talking about? Monsters never die. And here too: Besides, you can also go to any Ed Sheeran thread and see for yourself how they ****ing behave, I dislike him with a passion right now but I'm not going to trash him for his looks because that's just disgusting and immature, I don't think Gaga approves this kind of behavior either so... And, plenty of comments about the Joanne era are awful, a recent thread called the album unauthentic and posted that it lacked soul when obviously Gaga put her everything into it and it's an album about her family. Past experiences showed us that quantity of promotion isn't as important as quality of promotion with a public image matching it. I do not think Gaga will ever quit music but I also think she will never promote her albums like Born This Way or ARTPOP. Pretty much no established acts go from promo to promo anyways. Letmelivemylife 8,715 Posted March 10, 2017 Share Posted March 10, 2017 I wouldn't say distancing herself as in she doesn't want to interact with us anymore but more like "I love you guys more than you'll ever understand but I'm exhausted and I need to take time for myself". Her whole career has been about us and I think that she burnt herself out by always putting our needs above her own. We will always be #1 to her but I think she finally realized that in order to be there for us like she's always been, she has to take time for herself to "re-charge". She still randomly says "I love you" and she still interacts but not as much as she used to and that's perfectly ok. She doesn't need to say "I love you" 50 million times a day to prove that she does. She shows us her love for us in the little things she does (the super bowl, the homemade Xmas video last year, etc) and to me that's even more special I love you monsters.
