It is a unique opportunity that will never be repeated and she ruined it. They would have given her the Super Bowl in The Fame Monster era or Born This Way. so why you still here why you join this site after her "awful" performance
Shadow 6,625
Still watch it and her Grammy performance, switching from the version with James mic on and the rehearsal now. Two epic performances to remember for sure. She won the Super Bowl Halftime show for the ages. Do your own research.

She had every chance to do something to please the general public but to do that would be a massive "**** you" to little monsters. She couldn't have that so she included things that only we would understand (pants-less outfit, disco stick, hell I think I even saw a monster paw in there) and just added a few elemements for the general public. Seeing all of those monsters surrounding the stage was proof to the general public of how deep the love for her monsters really runs. We aren't "just" fans to her. We're so much more. another example of this is the Dance In The Dark intro, no one knows that song but us, mother Long Live Gretchen

You know you're a little monster when you have a horrible cold but you just pass out hand sanitizer and surgical masks to your guests because there's no way in hell that you or them are missing gaga perform lol. My gf asked me "honey you're sick as a dog. Do you just wanna cancel the Super Bowl party?". It's like "don't say such words!!!!!! I'll *insert hacking cough* be *insert nose sniffling* just fine". Lol she isn't a little monster so she just doesn't understand lol I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

I agree with all of this. I believe I also spotted a hairbow on one of the backup dancers. Lots of small details made the show feel special for fans. It really was flawless and will go down as one of the best. I would've replaced Telephone with Applause but that's a minor gripe. THIS. Applause would have been perfect, she gave partyGa with Just Dance, Applause would thematically make perfect sense.
WildAmerican 13,672
I wish I could watch myself watching it for the first time again. Bebe 17,093
Brilliant, one of the best halftime shows of all time. I love the descent from the roof when she is teasing the audience (and monsters) with the DITD instrumental, "Just Dance! Let's play a lovegame, play a lovegame! Papa-paparazi I'M ON THE EDGE!" The throwback to MJ's Halftime performance was great. I love that she played MR, she needed a piano ballad - I mean that's part of her strength as a performer - the only thing I didn't like was the fake phone in Telephone and the dude lifting her up. I'd rate it the best in recent memory

You have to be a part of it to understand". Gaga is living proof that a woman doesn't have to give birth for the maternal instinct to kick in. I still think that's what "come to mama" is really about. Yeah she "raised" us to be fearless and independent but sometimes she just wants to shelter us from the big bad world. She'll always be "mama monster". No matter how old we get, she'll always see us as the kids in the glitter and discosticks. I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you
chiuga 1,970
her show is the only one in recent memory that has the rock n roll spirit. Like Pink said, her heart was in it. the others are just visual feasts with a well-executed routine but lacks soul.
Anastasia 6,093
It was incredible and I feel like dumbass for ever doubting her , she knows how to put on a great show and make people feel good. I know people were upset about ARTPOP not being involved but I didn't notice until it was brought up on here tbh, I think she chose great hits that everyone from us stans to the GP would recognize and dance to. One of the greatest performances imo FATWIFE, First Lady Of GGD
HiWayUniCorn 64
I am obsessed with her backup dancer with the french braids Casey Johansen. He also did a backflip in the Bad Romance part.
