Just another day of mourning for PI's flopage

I was checking out some covers and fan made choreographies of PI and I noticed that almost every time PI sounded so so radio/GP friendly when sung by sb else (who probably got their voice autotuned to death :poot:), and because of that I think PI would have been much more successful if Gaga's voice wasn't that raw and was autotunes a bit more. The masterpiece was just too much for the GeePee to handle :derpga:

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

It's not the voice

It's not the song

It's the fact that she completely ignored it and let it flop into oblivion :bye:

Am I delusional if I say it's the closest song to BR Gaga has done :poot:

Plus, I remember the radio stations OVER hyped it saying it was her best lead single to date...her best song ever...so catchy they couldn't stop humming it all day...it's gonna go #1 instantly...etc

Then it came out and...HWd3nuX.gif

fede ARTPOP

I think the structure of the song and the instrumental is what made it flop....with better harmonies and with a more "pop" vibe it would be so much better. :music:

Do you have examples?

Doesn't this sound like sth that would have smashed in 2007-2009 :poot: :poot: :poot:

The instrumental was very ugly and dull at some parts (specifically the 2nd chorus) and the outro after the final chorus is just wayyyyyyyyyy to long and not radio-friendly at all. It works perfectly as a track on Joanne, but as a single - not so much (purely song-wise and radio-wise).

The "it wasn't laaaaaav" hook is simply iconic and so good and it was wasted. Maybe Gaga should have turned up the pitch on the instrumental? Idk, but it has all the pieces to be an amazing song but it is just messy.

I don't know but they're both full of passion, about love, and I've been seriously addicted to both of them
