Like b*tch liberalism comes from the word, liberty aka freedom. Whole ideology is a worldview founded on ideas of liberty, why would a person of this ideology attack stuff that does not even concern them. While conservatism is founded on the idea of retaining traditional social institutions that also include culture which is why conservative people have tendency to attack stuff of other cultures in order to protect hegemony of their culture over any other possible competitor.
