Allan 3,881
Funny thing: yesterday I went to a Gaga tribute party, there were a lot of little monsters but yet some straight dudes and girls who where there just to have a few drinks. And there were this really cute and shy straight guy who probably never really paid attention to Gaga who was trying to get into the mood: first he tried to jump to Perfect Illusion while trying to sing the chorus, then A-YO came and he got really pumped up, even shouting the A-yo! A-yo! with us (even the other straight people that were drinking in the back were dancing to the song). But when Dancing in Circles came all the gays got crazy but the straight people seemed a little confused and didn't enjoy as much. I know we can't judge the worldwide commercial success of a song based on 10 people's opinion, but this little experiment can give us some hints. junolxf 8,654
A-No is my least favorite thing on the album and I think it's a terrible song, but hey, the GP has horrible taste in music so there's a chance for the song. androiduser 7,438
the only reason why DIC needs to be a single is s that it can flop and the fans can realize it wasn't a good choice... and of course, start complaining about the bad taste and conspiracies
Toph 375
I think A-YO would do very, very well in the US but outside, hard to say. It's insanely catchy, has great energy, shows a different side of Gaga, and it's a **** the haters song! Who doesn't like a "stick it to the haters" bop? The only issue I have are the allusions to smoking cigarettes. I think DiC is very tongue in cheek, fun, production is fire, but the chorus is weak let's be real and I feel it's pretty forgettable. also A-YO is not country it's pop-americana. You want country on Joanne? Sinners Prayer is very country.
uo111 5,261
As much as I Love Dic, it has nothing on ayo in terms of hit potential.

Spartacus 4,485
Gaga has always said she doesn't follow TRENDS and DIC would be following this current "Caribbean Jamaican Dancehall" TREND. -𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐌𝐀™
Leeo 2,366
I swear to god everytime this fan base begs for something I have a really bad feeling that it will go wrong. I wonder what will be if DiC is release and she puts out a "Perfect Illusion-esque" and won't promo the song anywhere and just drop a music video out of nowhere. As long as the vid is good, I'm ok then. We CAN'T predict what will be sucessful and what's not. But if Interscope\her team release something, they probably work to understand if the song has a chance or not. It's not like "Oh wow track 07 is good let's release it" no. They do search, test out the songs and everything. Right Now I don't even think the third single has any chance to be a hit or anything and I just want music videos... It's unlikely that she'll be able to promote any song in the summer. She'll be doing "A Star is Born" + Rehearsing for her Tour (and also now Coachella will take part of her time). There are no big "promo spots" like MR had AMA\SB\VSFS or anything... I would say Billboard Music Awards but I don't think she ever attended. In the end tbh, whatever song they pick, I'm happy. The era at least lasted 4 music videos (if we get a third single that's not John Wayne) Spoiler the fact that John Wayne started to get some minimal airplay got me...scared. Gypsy Life 118,907
DIC is a massive flop waiting to happen. Time to accept it.
MJHolland 12,725
DIC is way too vulgar to be a hit or to be played on major radio stations. If it turns out being a single I hope it does well, but that's by opinion

Probably because not everyone listens to album tracks. The people going crazy for Dancing In Circles were probably the ones that have listened to Joanne and mostly Gaga fans. I'd also be confused to see a bunch of people dancing and singing to something I've never heard of, kind of like when you go to a 70's or 80's or even your parents' parties where all their friends dance to oldies songs that you probably don't know about.
