This is such a great article, my dad and his band has actually performed with him many times at the arise concerts, Central Park In NYC and Jones Beach on Long Island!! I mean I don't agree with his beliefs but my father has said he is a nice guy.

my dad has told him how much I love Gaga and his own words were "I can understand why, she's such a talented and inspiring woman for millions"

I actually like the fact that a religious person like him came out and talked about Gaga and liked the song Million Reasons for whatever interpretation he believes it is.

There are a million interpretations for the song and i cant believe people just hate his.

No matter how condescending people think he might be, he is trying to support Gaga and he didnt say anything hateful towards her. All I read was hateful comments here.

What happened to Love trumps Hate and accepting something different from your own? People here want to be accepted but they dont want to accept those who are different from them.

I dont get that at all. I posted this thread to show that Gaga's talent is reaching audiences that she did not have before.

US is in general a lot more conservative than Scandinavian countries I believe.

I know. US is more conservative than all of western Europe. I've read that 40% doesn't believe in evolution. 40% does, while 20% is not sure, IIRC. No country in western Europe comes close to having so many people doubt evolution.

Isnt it rude of him to reveal how Gaga didnt pay attention in his class? Especially because Gaga always prides herself as being a good student when she was in school. Its not a huge deal and Im sure nobody reading this cares or is judging her.  But, I I ever got famous I would be pissed if my past teachers came out of the woodworks and started telling journalists about my work habits from when I was like 15 :grr:

I was sneering learning that Gaga did not pay attention to her Math class and can relate to her.  I didnt realize how Gaga would feel.

But then again she knows she wanted to be an actress/singer/ performer from a very young age and she herself knows a Pre-Calc class wont be applicable to her future career.

She can sue her like Taylor Swift did to her former guitar teacher though, but I dont think she cares at this point.

Im wondering what 15 year old Stefani Germanotta was day dreaming about.

It's funny that that weekend, after Gaga supposedly got the religious people, Gaga came out with Metallica and sang with them in all her illuminatiGa glory.

So our good sis Gaga is playing both saint and sinner.

you have summoned me :sis:

he prays that her outward declaration toward God during the show is a sign of the beginning of a genuine spiritual journey that could lead to her salvation in Christ.

Gaga has always been very religious though

I don't think she started a spiritual journey, she has always been very open about her religion and her faith in God (despite being against the Catholic Church and its "exclusiveness")

I agree with you.

Sometimes her actions and showmanship don't exactly portray her religiousness (and it shouldn't)  but I believe with how close she is with her family and them being the traditional Italian family,  I can say that they are really religious.

She grew up next to a Catholic Church in New York. As in right next to their apartment. And they share a wall or something.

Her interview with Oprah shows that she can even hear the songs playing in their terrace when there is a mass.  :toofunny:

I think Catholics are less strict in their beliefs, honestly. They are more like an in and out thing when they go to Church. But then this teacher is Evangelical and they tend to be more strict.

That's all based on my experience though.

He wasn't really divulging her secrets or anything but more like he bought a domain name ITaughtTaylorSwift.com. Her team said it's a trademark issue. Well, I think he's trying to make money off of her.

Anyway, he did not say a bad thing about Taylor but he did say her mom is like a "bull in a China shop" for feeding her salad when she wanted Taco Bell.

I think people making money off of you once you become famous is a thing for celebs.

I consider myself a Christian, and I find this pastor a bit condescending too... Who is he to know Gaga's personal relationship with God? She does have one, and she believes in God. It's always so black and white with some christians... Maybe he thinks the next album should be gospel :toofunny: (please no!)

Gaga was distracted during mathematics as much as I was :toofunny: but I bet she had better scores. I couldn't never take that hard courses...

What's wrong with that? I think it'd be pretty awesome if she did something like that! And I'm not even a religious person.

Ever hear this?

That'll give you a good idea of what a gospel album from her will be like.

Even in India, a developing country with lower-middle-income economy the % of people who support the theory of evolution is much higher than US. Indian school curriculum allows only the scientific theory of evolution to be taught in classrooms.
