She peaked at 4. Radio spins or not, it's falling everywhere else. Time to move on, no?

It's falling no where.

She's been stable in iTunes top 5 for almost a month now.

She's been stable around 100 on Spotify for almost a month now.

She's rising on radio exponentially (especially over the past few days)

She dropped on Billboard significantly last week, but this week she only dropped a few spots (that means she will most likely crest on over positive again)

Plus, if she shifts gears now into another single, radios wouldn't bother even playing it. Million Reasons needs to be a radio hit if she wants any chance with them again. Leaving a single right when it's about to catch fire is a huge mistake. Why leave it when it still has plenty of momentum? That's bad thinking.

It's actually falling everywhere but radio, homie.

She's now at #7 on iTunes and every week since the SB she has sold less.

She is falling on Spotify and has every day/week since the SB.

She has fallen every week since the SB on Billboard.

I'm not understanding your logic, maybe you don't have any, but regarding MR, it truly is falling everywhere but radio.

Also re: your last paragraph, at least five other people have already said that. Spare yourself the trouble.

She's at 7 because of Lorde's new song. If you've been monitoring the iTunes Charts over the past weeks, she always goes down to 7-10 for a day, and rises back up to 5.

Everything has been selling less recently. It's the sales climate. Ed Sheeren's Shape of You sold 180k two weeks ago, 140k last week, and expected to do 120k this week. If you look, every single song in the top 10 (plus more) are dropping more than 10%.

She's fallen on billboard, because of radio and streaming. The formula favours those two a lot more than sales. She's rising a lot on radio, and the main source of streaming (Spotify) isn't giving her easy access to listeners (making it hard to search, bottom of playlists, and not on the big playlists) However, she was at like 30 last week and like 33 this week or something. 3 spot drop is a sign it's slowing on the dropping.

Also, I'm sorry I didn't read everyone else's responses through all the pages. I didn't realize that was my duty. If everyone is saying the same thing, maybe you're the one with the flawed ideas? Just a thought.

I have been monitoring, multiple times a day at that! And what I've seen is a majority of red updates and a decline in sales each week. Like MR, each song is selling less because they're dated, older songs. It's not the sales climate, it's the music climate. There aren't any smash, breakout hits right now. MR is not going to magically become one.

Also it's not my fault that a FLOCK of monstrosities have used my post as a talking point to get excited about the radio playing a tired four month old single. It IS an old song, it HAS peaked, and I'm really excited for a new single. There's nothing wrong with that!

It's good that you're excited for the third single. We all are, too!

However, you can't say that Million Reasons should be left in the dust right now, and not expect people to be angry. The majority of us still see a lot of potential.

We'll see what happens with the song in the near future.

My initial post was that they should begin to transition to a new single. Not drop it like it's dead. It isn't dead. I've seen a lot of artists begin introducing new singles before their currently single dies, though, and I hope Gaga follows suit. Unless it's A-Yo in which case I hope she cancels the era.

Million reasons should not be dropped for another 2 months or so since radio just started playing it this month. We can't really take into account that it's been out for 4 months when radio ignored it for 3 of them. The most of the GP was introduced to Million reasons at the superbowl and are only now starting to hear it on radio so they won't think about it as a really old song. I understand as a fan, and if you don't like million reasons that much you want to move on to a new single but seeing how million reasons is so stable on Itunes despite so much less radio AI then the other song in the top 10 just shows people are still her for it. It could spend more weeks in the top 10 and just stay stable for a few weeks/months, it doesn't need to repeak. But Gaga really needs a radio hit right now and that's what million reasons is becoming.

3rd single will only benefit from Million reasons staying for a few months to grow her radio power back. If not it's likely they will just ignore it like they did with Million reasons pre superbowl. Also the biggest chances for 3rd single right now are A-YO and DIC.

So basically by your logic in this same scenario Rihanna's label should have dropped Love on the Brain a month ago because it was only rising on radio.

Makes perfect sense.

It's taken four months for radio to get on board. Joanne has no other bona fide ready singles. Why in the world would they drop MR now? It isn't falling everywhere except radio. It's holding steady. It's steady in the Top 10 on iTunes and it's steady on streaming (Spotify has been rising and falling day by day, never leaving the Top 200 since the SB). It's getting 1M+ AI increases and huge spincreases on radio now, and nearly every large station has finally playlisted it or even put it on PR.

This is literally the definition of a hit in the making, something that will ignite the Joanne era and create a platform for the next single to succeed. Usually Interscope is quick to pull the plug on singles, but the fact they haven't with MR yet and have continued to push it so hard shows that 1) they believe in it, 2) early research data for the song is good, and 3) they realize it's all they've got at this point.

Now I'm not sure if it's able to bounce back to the top 10 on Hot 100, but what I'm sure the more recognition and attention this song gets, the better its chance is at getting nominated at the Grammys next year. Song of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance are not at all impossible.

If only MR could get the praise it deserves for giving the Joanne era even more exposure... Instead, it gets called old and boring.. :toofunny:
