It's the first time in ages we've had above average temps / summer-like weather like this (after a winter of cool temps and above average rainfall). It was gorgeous today and I wonder if they pulled back on the airplay because they thought it might be a downer. Actually heard it once today when I was driving around with the windows down, and I have to admit it did feel a tad "out of place." Just a thought.
