I think Canada is an example of what MR can do without a discount and I'm fine with that.

Usually Europw follows american trends but she really is dead in europe. If only she could pull a cttr in europe.

Katy is only not dead in Europe because Radio is spinning the sh*t out of the song, while the important markets seem to be on Gaga's bad side.

She's not dead, otherwise she wouldn't sell out arenas pretty much everywhere. The fact is that MR has already had its opportunities to be big in Europe (see Italy, Switzerland), they won't pick the song up now after 2-3 months just because US has started to pick it up. We'll see with the next single how it goes.

I mean, she struggles to sell out Manchester and it took quite some time for Berlin to be close to selling out. But I agree that they won't pick up MR even when it becomes a US radio hit. It's kinda too late.

Potremmo Ritornare is 2x platinum with 4,400,000 streams on spotify @LittleMichael but he had 2 weeks at #1 on TimMusic. I think MR is coming, it did decent on tm

I still think that MR could be certified within the end of March :whitney: I hope some good playlist will add MR this week, but I think it's a dream

Well, it's kinda obvious that she can't sell out stadiums in Europe when she hasn't been that BIG for four or five years, but her name still generates buzz and people wanna see her concerts despite the underperformance of albums and singles (see France: 40k tickets sold whereas Joanne has sold less than half of the copies).

MR should have become a hit in the US in November/December and all the European markets would have followed for sure. But now it's too late and it would be even ridiculous: for example in the UK, they haven't considered MR when she promoted it there in December but they'll suddenly start now?

Everytime some of you says 'time for a new single' a music manager, somewhere in the world, dies. Please.. STOP. Who cares about the rest of the world when it's smashing in the biggest market  ever? Lmao.

And.. i really have to laugh at 'some monsters in europe need a new hit' exactly where? The only relevant markets are UK, FR and DE where Gaga is a flop. Stop it, you really don't know what to say

We have Eurovision Song Contest. The US can keep iTunes that 'major market relevancy status' you talk about.

Imho they shouldn't think about a new single until mid of April. MR will reach its peak by then I think. She could introduce a new single at Coachella.

Since there is a lot of discussion going on here between A-YO and DIC: Why not a double release? And radio of each music market could decide by themselves what they prefer to play. While I agree that A-YO is a much safer option for US radio I think that DIC could do very well in Europe in comparison to A-YO. Here in Europe nobody gives a sh!t about explicit lyrics. So I doubt that radio won't play it here. And I think DIC could help Gaga's streaming power better than A-YO could....

Joanne is the safest option after MR reaches 150m audience and scores her fourth number #1 on BB100.
