If ed has 9 songs in the top 10 its because those 9 songs are the most "popular" songs this week in the UK, their places are earned. if you have enough streams to reach top 10, LOTS OF PEOPLE are streaming you, not the same 10 ppl on repeat

To put in context, from Billboard for 2016:

"Track sales also dropped, to 404.3 million units from 531.6 million units. Current track sales are leading the descent; songs released in the last 18 months saw sales fall nearly 40 percent."

In a decade no one will "buy" misic anymore. I wouldn't worry about Gaga though cause the money is in touring, merchandising and sponsorships and not sales.

Edit: Gaga was a trailblazer when it came to using emerging media to promote herself (Youtube in the early days and Twitter before it became unpopular )

I don't get some of you just because gaga isn't doing well in one place you try to make it like it's not fair.

Streaming is the most realistic way of telling what people actually are listening to instead of the radio where all you hear are the same 10 pop songs over and over.

Literally everyone streams music now the only time people buy music is if they really like a song like I haven't bought a song that wasn't gagas since like 2012.

It's just funny to me how during ARTPOP when no one was buying her music or albums after a couple of weeks but her streams for the time where fine everyone was saying that it's because no one buys music anymore

but now that it's the opposite you act like it's unfair? But every other pop artists seem to do fine with streaming just because gaga took her break during the years streaming became big so she has to work harder at it doesn't make it unfair

Julia Michaels dropped her video and 'Issues' is rising. The same will happen with 'I Feel It Coming'. But I'm positive. :kara:

Ugh I wish Gaga would drop the MR reasons video already

i'm sorry but in my oppinion streaming is not as fair as u said;

for exemple rihanna when she was put in "one" popular playlist her streaming numbers doubled in 24h

this shows that among those 13m TTH followers there are at least (to be pessimistic) 1%  who put the playlist on autoplay which gives 130k plays at least, and that's  huge, and doesnt fairly show the will of people unlike sales they pay to have it

also i stated ONE playlsit exemple imagine one artist having 80m playlist follower versus a 17m... u have no idea how autoplay on playlsit is strong and i talk about the 1% of people who put on autoplay and do something else

1% of (80-17m) = 630k which is more than million reasons' daily streams ..again talking just about the effect of 1% of more followers edit 1% of autoplay i mean

hope u understand me

And how is this different than a song being on pr on the biggest radio station in America? Or being on pr on multiple radio stations?

And you don't have to listen to play lists in order to stream music while on radio theirs no way avoiding a pr song

@TwerkinLurkini didnt talk about radio, just pointed out how streaming is not as fair as u said that's all...especially compared to sales

edit: i think that radio grows very slowly chartswise, streaming is more powerful in terms of weekly charts

And I never said sales were irrelevant obviously no one is gonna buy a song or spend money on something they don't want all I'm saying is that it evens out the unfairness of radio isn't scars to your beautiful like in the top 20 on bb but literally no where to be found on iTunes?  That's basically all airplay so why is it so unfair with streaming while people with streaming actually listen to music they want while with radio you don't get to choose what you hear that's what my point was that everyone has a problem  with streaming but not radio and also my point was that during ARTPOP everyone was saying that no one buy music anymore those where the points I was making
