All I want is her to NOT pay ARTPOP dust like she did at the SB (she could've easily done Applause instead of Telephone). More the reason to sing it. I also read he stopped donating to those anti LGBT causes. I doubt they would book gay icon Lady Gaga if they didn't want her to bring some gay to the party. The hits are great and definitely have a place, even in this performance, but I've already seen sites being a tad shady saying she'll just use this to play off her imperial phase. If she gives off that impression of clinging to her peak, people will get tired of it real quick. Great for the SuperBowl, not so much after. The majority of this performance needs to be Joanne material. Luckily for her, most of Joanne is perfect for this venue. This is a huge opportunity to bring her great new material to a listening audience. Coachella is a major event and she will see tons of press from this, especially outlets that wouldn't normally cover her as a pop star. She cannot afford to be stuck in 2008-11...bring the new to the table. Coachella is not a pop-focused event or audience, so with her classics, it would be really awesome for her to rework them some to be more festival rock, which can be easily done. This is not the performance to bring back disco sticks and looks out of 2008-10 and play off fan nostalgia...this is a hip event where she should really bring the new to the table. I hate to bring up Beyoncé, but the comparisons are inevitable...Beyoncé wouldn't headline and preform her prime hits...she'd be up there bringing something new and playing mostly all her new music. It'll preview the whole show given that she has little time and will probably just use many elements of the upcoming tour, maybe even including backdrops.
