Born To Slay 10,996
https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2017/02/bernie-sanders-is-still-a-democrat-but-is-he-givin.html During the course of the interview, something happened that will have those Democrats who are up for reelection in 2018, shaking: In a roundabout way, Sanders said he would not be providing the DNC with his email list, and would instead use it to help progressives running in Democratic primaries. Bernie Sanders has long said he wants to transform the Democratic Party which has always been a game of paying dues and insider politics—and that position threatens the current leadership. If the events of the weekend prove anything, it has started a war. The establishment sent its message to Sanders, and Sanders fired back.

EGOT2027 10,966
I deeply wish Bernie would've run for DNC chair. I think he avoided it in hopes of running in 2020, but let's face it...that isn't likely.
MJHolland 12,725
God I hate him so much Why would you not want dems to win across the board, regardless of whether or not they subrcribe to your radical socialist views. Ugh.

That said, I think Bernie might be able to run again if his campaign is run better then last time.

I find this insanely childish, foolish, and selfish. Sorry Bernie fans. The party is about diversity of ideas, we don't all have to be socialist. This isn't about "progress", this is about bullying and pressuring others into supporting socialist policies they don't believe in.

Bernie wants to primary the conservative democrats, why would he help them when he plans to primary them? They don't have to agree with him, but, he can choose to help another canditate. What's "insanely childish, foolish, and selfish" is wanting Bernie and others of his ilk to just compromise so they can always win because "A more conservative Democrat is still better than any Republican". Morphine Prince 109,682
Although I support his sentiment I don't think this is the best thing to do. A more conservative Democrat will have to go against Trump to win back the low income, less educated folks in the desperate areas where jobs are needed. This is not going to happen with a more liberal Democrat. If you would have asked me this before November 8 I would have told you something different. But this is the reality. Bernie should give them the email list. We need all the help we can get to win against Trump in 2020.

What would he need to change to appeal to them?
