Do we need any more proofs to understand that she's a bad person? stop giving her money!

People like her never change, don't forget what she did to the mental ill homeless woman...

She likes to attack the weak, to bully them and laugh at them..

Come on and wrap that blade of grass around my hairy ass

It's a bit of a grey area. On one hand I think it's pretty distasteful because a large majority of her fans are gay however her fans also use fa**** I'm sure so what's the difference?

It'd be hypocritical to say gay men can use this word but others can't. There's a lot of words like that which are deemed offensive only when someone else uses them and I always find it silly. :oprah:

How is it hypocritical?

Gay men can take back the word because the word is used to discriminate them. Nicki is a straight woman.

Im pretty sure she wouldn't be happy if a white person said the n word.

It's not cute though. The same people who shun others for being offended are equally capable of being offended as well. AKA your post.

More like annoyed than offended. Back then I use to take certain words so offensively, but at the end of the day words should not offend anyone imo. They're just words tbh.

But you should still take certain words offensively, if not for yourself then for other people especially lgbt kids who would see and hear someone using that word and be majorly impacted by it in a negative way.

Yeah I don't really buy into the whole "they can take back the word". These words like N**** and F**** are used so commonly in pop culture by so many people. They are becoming more and more apart of our everyday vocabulary. As a gay man I don't feel as if i own a word.

I'm not the gatekeeper of language to dictate who is of sufficient suffering to utilise a word.

Fair enough if you disagree, everyone's entitled to their opinion :)

No, you're speaking up about something here. Who's to stay people are always annoyed and not offended? Why are you allowed to differentiate?

That's easy to say (words are just words), but where does that definition of that begin and end? Does that mean I can exaggerate when I'm stressed and say I could "blow up a school"? If they're words, people can start using them in a way I guess.

We ALL know what certain words/phrases and the meaning behind them stand for. Let's not pretend that *******s are called *******s everytime a ******* gets bullied, beat up, and/or killed. I've seen it. We've all seen it. And when we say that we shouldn't be woke about it and ignore it, then it becomes a problem. It becomes something we laugh about and joke about. Was Nicki targeting anyone? Maybe not, but some of her fans will certainly not care and carelessly use the word. A culture starts when the uneducated start educating the clueless.

It's ok if you don't feel offended but just because you don't find it offensive it doesn't mean it's silly or hypocritical to find it offensive since everyone's experience as a minority is different.

You can be as offended as you wish I wouldn't try to dictate that. My first post actually said it's a grey area and I can see both sides of the coin.

I mean, homophobia is pretty rampant in the rap community, always has been. It's not shocking at all to see her using this word. She clearly changed and embraced the gays as they started to embrace her. I doubt she's homophobic now, surrounded by gay staff, collaborators, and fans.

Not excusing it at all, that word shouldn't be used. But just making sense of it.
