So many songs that could have been singles is the really heart-wrenching part. The era had potential in the right hands but her management just didn't care. After the high pedestal that she was on, coming down to earth with a bump really sucked. I remember somebody made a gif of that Xtina duet on The Voice with her saying: "I forgive you for ending my career, Gaga...because now yours is over too." And in that moment, it did kinda feel like this was Gaga's Bionic era. Less singles, early end to the era, everyone against her. Thank heavens for new management, C2C, the Oscars x2 and the SB because she was in a tight spot until then. And other annoyances...the Telephone sequel that never came (another Beyonce duet now would do wonders), the refusal to go to some of the places that she cancelled during the BTWB with the artRave (come on, she owed it to those fans to go there) and the cancelled DWUW video (although, all things considered, it really was for the best). It's such a stupid reason to jump ship, I can't even believe it. But the worst one from Gaga's end...is probably that I really did want more videos from the ARTPOP era. Venus could have been amazing. Gypsy and MANiCURE also could have served up amazing videos. Not to mention missing out on one for DWUW. I didn't much care for Applause as a song, so even though I liked the video, I could only like it so much! I will say G.U.Y. is one of the most amazing videos of her career. Batwings 12,885 Posted February 26, 2017 Share Posted February 26, 2017 I'm one of those fans who legitimately loves 99% of everything Gaga does, but the ONE thing that has made me the most upset was not releasing a BTWB DVD. BTW is my favorite album of all time, I was so excited for the tour, and my date was canceled. Of course, I wasn't angry about that because Gaga couldn't help her injury. But I still held out hope for the tour DVD and... nothing. I'm still disappointed about it to this day, more so than anything that happened during the ARTPOP era.
