I don't have a full knowledge of what drugs have done to society, but I know from experience, and I can say no one in my life has had their life ruined by weed, which is what I was asking about because I'm genuinely curious as to what transpired for that to happen. 

Cocaine, heroin, and meth are all hard drugs that do in fact need to be cracked down on. 

Weed tho? Not so much. 

And please don't say it's a gateway drug because I've smoked weed so much and never wanted to touch a harder drug because of it. I did coke when I was younger because I wanted to, not because weed wasn't strong enough for me...

Because I'm guessing you're speaking for experience, so juxtaposed to that my experience is that weed has done nothing at all to the plethora of people I know who smoke it. 

So I'm curious what a life ruined from weed is.. 

Someone that doesn't know how to use it but abuse it becomes the slave of their addiction. It's really slowly and untoicable. When you smoke weed you don't have any will do anything which means that your ambitions and inspirations goes away, sometimes friends (especialy the ones that don't smoke), you sometimes get antisocial and depressed if you cannot control it or handle it.

Understandable. 

I did have friends who would rather stay in and smoke and go out and do things with me, but it didn't ruin her life, just changed her priorities. Again, these are my own experiences. 

I smoke occasionally, and have managed to not let it over take my life. 

Weed and alcohol are practically the same 'drug' but one is illegal and the other isn't, while the one that's legal is the number one contributing factor to accidental homicides so
