Impostor 4,114
Sometimes Gaga makes songs that have generic style, like Dancin' In Circles, but her voice and her persona make the song iconic. I would probably not listen to Dancin' In Circles if it was released by someone else. Would you? It's not a very original song or style, but Gaga's voice and the the fact that it is a Gaga song turns the thing into gold. Even when Gaga covers a bad song it sounds better. The same thing doesn't happen with her acting (maybe ASIB could change that).
gagajandro25 6,103
Am I the only one that wants more Ace of Base/Euro-Dancepop songs from Gaga someday? It fits her voice so well for some reason and her writing and melodies nail it out of the ballpark Lady Gaga is a legend and you will deal with it
Mister Gaga 22,916
I get what you're saying, i agree, and i also noticed that i have the same feeling with other artists who are actually involved on their work (that's the effect). I can see most of britney's discography being sung by some else, i truly do. The exception, in my opinion, is In The Zone. It's no coincidence that it's the album in which she was more involved, and she had actual input. It's britney's album. It happens the same with Rihanna's ANTi, she has that exotic and mysterious voice, that it just fits. Same with Gaga and her theatrics. Dancin' In Circles, imo, has those theatrical vocals that we can listen on TF/M, BTW, ARTPOP. Anyone else? Lana. 100% involved in her music. It's her music, her sound. Beyonce? Some of it. Sia is so, so present..

Beyoncé and Sia are great examples too.
Miel 15,009
As @Mister Gaga said, I feel like it's very indicative of artists who are fairly/very involved with the creation of their work, and/or have a very distinctive artistry. 3 points in and ready for more

It follows the tropical trend but we can't forget it was produced by Beck and has innovative sounds like the banjo. Still more original and REAL than the other 'tropical' hits. another shot before we kiss the other side
