I really know nothing about Theresa May or british politics, so i don't feel like i'm qualified to give an opinion. I found controversial that katy, who always plays it safe, criticized not only Trump (who is her president), but also May, a prime minister who governs a country in which she doesn't live; and she played it even riskier, criticizing her on Live UK Television, on a very popular platform. Obviously all this controversy (if she gets it, because no one seems to be paying attention to her this era) will help her single, commercially speaking; but it was a risky movement, i have no doubts about it.
