When theyre just sitting behind a laptop/computer. It's very clear RedOne, Dianne, and Elton have said multiple times they had worked with Gaga and the way they described LG5 has a different view instead of the Joanne we ended up getting (which I don't mind, since I personally like Joanne.) It's not like the three of them decided to team up one day and troll the whole world when they have a busy career to keep up with. And regarding her label not allowing her to scrap songs or ideas. . . . Um what? Nothin on (But the radio), Bloody Mary, and Earthquake/Fashion of His Love, Tea say Hi, to name a few. And those are the only ones we know of, when Gaga has previously stated she works on lots and lots of songs when working on an album. As far as we know, she has a huge library of songs we will never hear. But as soon as those songs/scrapped ideas leak in years to come, these are the same people who will be praising it up the ass.
