Ummm... Metallica's career has been alive longer than most GGDers so I have no idea where this has come from.

Exactly^

Which makes all of this online snark just LOL funny, to think that these little opinions are of that much importance to ruin Metallica.

Good Luck kids~

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

Nah. Metallica is far too deeply entrenched in the metal scene. They'll be fine. I'd still be looking forward to their new release.

Metallica still outsells and outpeaks most of your faves, late into their impactful career. :firega:

They'll be just fine. :lolly:

Like literally any fanbase, they're just having meltdowns because their favourite artist did something different for a change.

We should know all about that.

kind of unrelated but why doesn't she just go up to him and share the mic when she sees his isnt working? :duck: every man for himself i guess

I don't think she even realized what was goin' on. She was focused on her part.

Nah, they'll be fine. Remember that these are the same guys who got a sh*t load of backlash in the early 2000's for suing Napster.  Plus, they've been called "has-beens" and "sellouts" for years and yet they still sell albums and tour tickets, and they've been around since the 80s, so I don't think that one unfortunate performance is going to hurt their career.

I think St. Anger damaged their career more than the Grammys ever will :ladyhaha:

Yasss slay rock daddies of doom! My queens, yes gawd, um...bears? (I'm running out of ways to make this super gay)

Definitely my favorite metal band since Feb. 12 2017, who has been performing way before my birth and of which I know one full song!

I already forgot about this performance and I've been talking about wanting to see them on tour ever since. It's Metallica. A silly mic malfunction isn't gonna end them. No way.

Seriously, though, give the following a try:

easiest, entry-level due to sheer popularity even outside of metal

somewhat harder, noisier tracks

they have "ballads" too, very good and conveys emotion all the same

Okay, I guess I've heard Enter Sandman before, and if For Whom the Bell Tolls is the intro song to Zombieland, then I know it too.

Since discovering Grimes, I've been really turned on to music that can be harder for most to digest :usrs:

Spoiler

Still not into Marilyn Manson, though. My edginess only goes so far :trollga:

Final Thoughts: I've listened to all of them. I see the appeal. I can't fault you and Gaga for your tastes :golfclap:

I was reading the AV Club's post about this performance and white straight men have SO many feelings about Metallica. It was like watching pop forum users talk about Gaga.

Anyway, they'll survive, lol. A lot of things were out of their control. Also, I actually thought a lot of Metallica fans were nice and open minded about Gaga. Of course, you'll get the usual trash troll fuming about her being a pop star, but that's a given.

One thing I'll agree with some of them on are the dancers in that performance. :toofunny: There's one girl in red dancing real dorky in the background during this performance and it always gives me a kii.
