Stop comparing Gaga to Beyoncé or Britney. Surely by now you've realized that she's never going to do the same as other people with her career.

Most of Glory's "promo performances" were festivals. She only did 3 televised promo performances. He rest were just copy and pasted mini-Vegas that weren't televised.

Yeah but I would take that any day over the Britney Jean & FF eras.

The promo performances she did were in big platforms such as the BBMAs & the VMAs.

Still mad she missed out on performing Slumber Party with Tinashe at the AMAs though, it was really a missed opportunity.

I'm not saying the Glory era was bad but I wouldn't want Gaga to follow the promo schedule for that. Joanne era promo >>>>>> Glory era promo

btw, the BMAs performance wasn't a part of the Glory era. It happened months before the era started.

Yeah but I count it as if it happened in the Glory era. The beginning of that era was so messy though, she shot the video for MM in May and was supposed to perform it at the BBMAS but then it got delayed and then it got cancelled and then you know the rest. :emma:

I really hate how that era was botched, it really could've been a perfect comeback for her. If Make Me was performed at the BMAs and its og m/v was released first week, it would've debuted top 10 and set the stage for longevity.

Hey, the more Gaga the better. But if she's not 100% into something then whats the point? Gaga is the artist she is because of the passion and effort she puts into her work. I don't want anything less from her for the sake of more promotion.

But it's not exactly a random comparison to make. OP's point that "veterans" do less promotion is true for every artist. At a certain point, it's not just less promotion but an overall less frequent output of work. Part of this is just being more mature and self-assured in their work which is often just a really great thing if you enjoy care more about their albums than their album's sales.

I wouldn't mind as long as the music is good and when she does do visuals or performances, they're like QUALITY. I mean, not one single Lemonade performance has been a letdown, and the whole album was a visual album, so...

and Glory's promotion wasn't that bad actually, Britney performed at the Apple Music Festival, did the VMA's, performed a medley of all her hits at the billboards earlier last year, did a nice promo tour at europe where she performed and did interviews, and also performed at a handful of festivals all along the US, so I wouldn't mind either.

what I would mind is if her stuff gets lackluster in effort. That's it.

Like Beyonce, yes. But then everyone will call her a copycat again. I say, do it like Joanne. It's a good balance. Not too much and not too little. But with the quality of Beyonce's visuals. John Wayne was a good start of how Gaga can make it well. I mean, it's not even a single and she made the video.
