TimisaMonster 31,073
I think promo slows down due to a combination of factors...not just how long you've been in the industry. At that point, you don't always have to be in people's "face" because everyone already knows you. The music just has to be good and played a lot and that's all the promo you really need. Times have changed and so is how artists are promoted.... Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!

But the Super Bowl was pretty much just a concert, big indeed, but not as artistically referenced and full of depth and imagery like Beyonce has been giving so far. Yall do the most to praise her but when Gaga dares to mention the word art she gets called pretentious and forced. I don't want Gaga to think that she's god or whatever, I enjoy Gaga's art as it is thank you xoxo

I never called her pretentious and forced and I never got why people called her that (there were those Monalisa moments tho lol). All I'm saying is that Gaga can be much more interesting and clever on her performances if she wants. But really, this is all in context of the first post I was quoting to which said Beyonce's performances weren't memorable.

The Child 18,997
Britney is really a bad example here. Britney Jean was her only era with zero performances. Glory had more promo performances than the Blackout, Circus & FF eras. Britney has just been recovering slowly from her breakdown. ‘If religion be the cause of disunity, then irreligion is surely to be preferred.’ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá

You can't discard 7 years from her career and not except to be called out. If that's what you believe then that's fine, but the way I see it, 2008-2009 were gaga most basic years. I mean if I were to think of a performance that's greater than any performance she's done in 2009, right off the top of my head I'd when she performed BTW at the grammys. And it's those little "Monalisa moments" that make me appreciate her artistry even more.

bubbletea 364
nowadays television perfomances are more directed for new artists or artists whithout a solid career but big events or award cerimony perfomances are for veteran singers for exemple -Rihanna only promoted Work in Brit Awards, -Beyoncé promoted "Drunk in Love" on the Grammys, "XO" on the Brits and the rest of Beyoncé on the VMAs - Britney promoted "Make Me" on VMAs If we compare the past Gaga eras, we can notice that during BTW or even ARTPOP she went to so many tv shows... Most of Glory's "promo performances" were festivals. She only did 3 televised promo performances. He rest were just copy and pasted mini-Vegas that weren't televised. Let me be more clear and say that I'm talking about the 2009 VMAs and I'm talking in comparison to Beyonce's Grammy performance. He said there was no memorable Beyonce performance, and I noted that one and the only time Gaga pulled off something similar was in 2009's VMAs in terms of artistry and visuals. I'm not in any way saying none of her performances in 7 years weren't big or not good enough, I'm just comparing those two.
