imnotyourbabe10 6,100
My favorite classes were the ones where she was brought up...it happened quite a bit in my gender studies program--the book "Gaga Feminism," anyone? (and I frickannnnn died when a group used the Alejandro video for a presentation of women in music...bopped during the presentation for sure ). She also was discussed in my sociology program a bit when it came to topics of media and/or the body. Nice to see academia still using her as a reference
The Fame Joanne 5,985
A few days after Applause's release a student in my english class asked if we could do sth else than working and then my teacher asked if we heard the new Gaga song. But nobody paid attention. I was shook tho
Luc 4,775
I once had a few test questions on the Roman/Greek inspirations of the Applause video (well, my class did - I called in sick and the resit didn't have that question ). Another teacher once told me after telling her I like Gaga that she hates "people like Miley Cyrus". Apparently it's all the same or her
LynpheaStar 886
YES ! In the first year of architecture classes (college) Our prof compared Gaga in a meat dress with some buildings. It was about simple buildings with eccentric facades, which is like Gaga who was basically a naked woman with just more meat on, but nobody looked at her ass etc cuz the facade was the subject she wanted us to see. I was amazed and YASing (it was 2014)
Miel 15,009
In high school, definitely. A lot of the teachers I was close with would bring her up randomly, especially when I would do articles on her in art history lmao. In university, definitely not as much. Granted, I'm a science major, so I don't know extensively how much she is referred to outside of like an upper division biology or chemistry class. I took a few GE's where she was mentioned or applicable, but they were sociology/history classes. 3 points in and ready for more
Miel 15,009
Oh! My lab partner where I'm helping conduct research at really appreciates her as an artists, if that counts. He's a huge classical music buff (played trumpet in arts programs based high school, manager of our university's wind ensemble) and is very receptive when I play/mention Gaga at our lab. "She's really talented! She's an incredible musician who actually has the ability to do really awesome things", or something like that. 3 points in and ready for more

Dominic 11,922
Only how she was inspired by Metropolis and the 'robo-woman' particularly in her earlier years. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
MarryTheAngel 551
My soph/junior English teacher has a newspaper cutout of an article about Gaga changing gender norms and promoting acceptance. But that's been the like the only thing I've seen from a teacher.
