You're right, the media can and has been used as a tool to sway the american public and to promote and perpetuate racial and social stereotypes, as well as hide and enlighten topics of varying bias. But to say that they're the enemy of the American people as a whole is a grave injustice to the good work they have done. Are they saints? Of course not, but they have saved our asses on too many occasions to label them an enemy, even partially. They aren't a single entity, CNN covers differently from Fox, Breibart and MSNBC, etc. It's kind of like saying that you don't want a vaccine because it has the chance of displaying flu-like symptoms days later. I misread nothing; I know he's trying to leverage public opinion against the media's coverage and exposure of his asinine administration. But the fact remains that media is not always constructive. I was just hoping to get people(not you or the other conscious GGD users; I'm talking about the ones whose outlook is "lol politics") to think about ways that media can affect us negatively, too, rather than jumping on the, "OMG, Trump attacked the media, we must defend them with no perspective on how they can be a negative influence". Like I said in another thread, I had someone I've known my entire life tell me CNN was fake news and then link me to InfoWars.... The brainwashing is at work everyday online.
