Ohhhh, you are one of those "my guy didn't win, was wah" people. .

Not really necessary and rather juvenile. Rather an ironic statement given your rather myopic views on Hillary Clinton and partisan defence of her. Sounds like you think she shouldn't just have  been president, but beatified no less.

I'd bet good money on Elizabeth Warren along with other possible candidates not running, because they were  probably pressured not too. I mean it's not like the Clintons were never known for using intimidation before......

More Irony. Your rather dogmatic Ostrich thinking would fit right in with trump. I use logic, reason and facts. I lived through the Clinton years and have followed their story for years. Not just because Katy Perry or Gaga told me to for this election, as some people appear to do. Their entire biography and history is all available from literally dozens of sources from every facet of the political spectrum. The good, the bad and the ugly. Nothing has to be made up because there is no reason to and history is there for anyone who wants to do the bare minimum of research.

So I will ignore the childish ad hom attacks on me and ask if you think Hillary is flawed in any way? I mean if she is as brilliant as you say, why didn't she win the election? She had a billion dollar warchest (which in itself is morally repugnant), the entire media supporting her, the adulation of A list celebrities and she faced an apparent joke of an opposing candidate. I mean it was a no brainer right? What went wrong exactly?

If Hillary was as amazing and altruistic as you say, she should have walked right into the white house with the minimum of fuss. You really think the Clintons are beyond criticism? What were you saying about thin skinned again? Maybe things a bit more complex than you either realise or are willing to concede.

Good Day.

How would you know?

I follow the GOP closely :nails: examine various Republican politicians and check their positions on those issues.

Good Day.

To be fair, I don't think she really had the media supporting her. Or at least not to the level you're implying. They kept talking about and giving camera time to her emails too even when they knew the issue was clearly hurting her. If they were so supportive, don't you think they would have at least tried to ignore that issue? It doesn't appear to me that they did.

Still, I do think the media did a terrible job in general at covering the election. They focused on so many trivial things and barely discussed any of the substantive issues that were actually meaningful to the everyday person trying to make ends meet. And Trump with all the **** he pulled during the election sure as hell didn't help by any means but only gave them the extra nudge to continue on that course.

But I agree with your larger point that Clinton is problematic and was a very flawed candidate. Even if I supported her during the campaign. She was clearly not the right choice, and I was behind Bernie until she got the nomination. The Democrats fuvcked up and in so doing screwed over the entire country. They got what was coming for them for being the spineless idiots that most of them are (the Democraitc Establishment anyway). Unfortunately, now all of us must now reckon with what has happened.

You're saying those who oppose abortion are 'extreme conservative religious zealots'? :toofunny: Well, that's basically all of the GOP.

Pence is not extreme by American standards.

I'm saying Pence is a religious zealot. Not all the GOP. Can you read?

Good Day.

Yes, I lived through those years as well as the Bush years. I still have no idea what the statement I isolated of yours meant. Instead of going on some Trump like rant, you could have simply explained what that sentence was supposed to mean.

Because the best person for the job didn't win. Because the US rarely sticks with the same party for more than eight years...people want change. Because those who only knew Obama as President were too lazy or ignorant to understand the ramifications of having a half-assed, inexperienced and dangerous President. Because those impacted by globalization and the ever changing world of manufacturing thought that Trump could bring them some magical solution. Because those who were impacted by stricter regulations on borrowing, want their "buy now, pay never" world back and don't understand that all of that put us in a recession and Obama kept us from going into a depression. Because the white, rural folk are scared of a changing country...one where they see more Brown people, and Black people's lives matter, and gay folks aren't hidden and silent.

If Trump could handily beat 15 other Republican nominees, some of which were considered superstars of the GOP, he's not really a joke...now, is he? What went wrong. Why couldn't one of the other 15 waltz right into the nomination? Trump played on fear and promises that no one can deliver. I was saying that Trump is the most thin-skinned person in power that we have seen in modern times in the US. Is that a difficult statement to understand?

Yes, it is a complex situation, as politics usually are. No one has all the answers, but Trump was absolutely the wrong answer for the position of leader of the free world.

He's also extremely conservative, just like you said before! :)

“Mike Pence is the most conservative vice presidential nominee the country has seen in 50 years,” the organization said after reviewing Mr. Pence’s previous legislative and voting records.

He is in “99 percent alignment” with the American Conservative Union's tenets.

The conservative group annually reviews the records of federal and state elected officials on a scale of zero to 99 points, assigning them an “ACU rating” according to their voting records and support for conservative issues.

I was so angry at this Press Conference.
