No offense to B (i love her) but I wouldn't call anyone the greatest after just one critically-acclaimed album and a string of conceptual performances. Björk has been (and still) constantly releasing out-of-this-world albums and performances since the 90s. We're just gonna forget that ever happened? and still hasn't won any Grammy wich is absurd to me...she writes her own stuff, she produces her own stuff and is overall the MASTERMIND behind all of her art now that's what you can call an artist. That's why I love her and Grimes the most.

Her songs are not catchy at all and some songs don't have structure really and it will be odd at first but the more you listen to it the more you fall in love and you'll fall in love even more when you discover what the songs are about along the way. kupo 201
I think this is a fair assessment. I'm more partial to Gaga myself, but it's hard to deny that Bey is putting out the most consistently impressive and visionary body of work. Bey has been an integral part of the pop machine since her Destiny's Child days, and when she launched her solo career, she maintained that quality. But with her self-titled and Lemonade, she has clearly had a creative explosion that is basically unmatched in the way it captured the attention of critics/connoisseurs/academics and also the general public. Nobody has shaped the zeitgeist quite like Beyonce in the last four or so years. She's at the top of her game. Obviously, these things are subjective, but when it comes to ways in which we can quantify success/impact, it's hard to pick any other individual (almost regardless of the medium they work in) that has a more towering presence in contemporary culture than Bey.
